One workshop. One problem worth solving.

ToolEssentials started in 2024 with a simple frustration: tool brands rarely talk to each other. A Milwaukee vacuum doesn't fit a Bosch saw. A Festool hose doesn't lock onto a DeWalt port. So I started designing the part in between.

The founder

Hi, I'm Charlie.

I run ToolEssentials myself — design, prototyping, printing, packing, and answering every message. Most parts in the catalog exist because a customer told me exactly what wasn't working in their shop, down to the millimeter, and we worked through it together until it locked on right.

That's still how most new products start here. Not a product roadmap — a message from someone wrestling with a hose that won't seat or a tool that won't sit flush on a wall mount.

How a part gets made

From "it doesn't fit" to a part that does

01

You describe the problem

Tool model, vacuum or hose size, what's not lining up. Photos help, exact measurements help more.

02

I model the fit

Every adapter is drafted to the actual port geometry of the tool it's for — not a generic taper that "should" work.

03

Prototype, test, adjust

If the first version doesn't seat perfectly, it gets revised. Several listings in the shop exist in a second or third iteration for exactly this reason.

04

Printed, packed, shipped from Toronto

Every order ships from the same shop it was designed in.
